A major renovation of The Arc headquarters on the former Greystone campus required tearing down walls and breaking through ceilings. It also broke through a time barrier, via old letters found by a construction crew that date to the 1930s.

More than a dozen letters, which over the decades somehow found their way into drop ceilings or were hidden in long-ago reconstructed walls, were unearthed by contractor Rich Eresman of Rockaway and his crew during a half-million-dollar renovation of the former Greystone superintendent’s home.
